100 Word Challenge week 19

Superficial Dark Wonders

Friday, October 13, 1913

The lights went out and I rushed to find my emergency flash light, but I soon realized it is in a box in the addict.
The stairs creak as I tip toed up with a candle. I searched threw box's, looking for the flashlight. Suddenly, the window slammed open and as the flame flickered and went out, I struggle to get the light back on. Beginning to panic, I completely forgot about to flash light and ran downstairs. I know some people may call me superficial but I think it may be because of Friday the 13th. Superficial or not, I hid under my bed!

100 word challenge week #17

"Come on, we'll go there and back. Don't be such a crybaby!" Nessi, my older sister screams.
"Fine, but we have to be back in an hour! Okay?" I reply.
"You are plainly no fun." Nessi grumps. I give her a look and she nods "okay."

.   .   .

"We only have thirty minutes left,  are we almost there?" I complain.
"Yep!" Nessi grins as she pushes aside a branch, revealing a mystical beach with a giant, flower covered staircase.
I have never known to be adventurous, but at that moment I knew I would be more than an hour!

100 Word Challenge week 16

Safari Picture

Landing in Africa after a horrendous flight felt amazing, but I was most excited for my first safari
                                              •  •  •
The jeep pulls up to a safe place where I can get out. I can't see any animals, but suddenly a ferocious male lion jumps on to a large rock. Marko, my tour guide, tells me to get back into the jeep. Right before we drive away, I snap a picture on my polaroid to remember this moment.

On the way back from the safari the guide told me I was lucky because lions don't normally come that close. I am truly lucky!

100 Word Challenge week 15

A Litter Different

"Pipe down Lynn, your just an organics bin." I steam.
"Don't  be rude, me and plastic are the only thing fantastic!" Lynn brags.
"Everyone knows your bitter, Litter." All the green bins yell at me.
None of them know it's not a cup of tea being me. I may not be a work of art and I might not be very smart. I wish they would give me a chance, they can take me to a dance. We don't need to be best friends, I just want to make amends. If only they forgave me for putting that banana in paper.

100 Word Challenge Week #14

Banana For Candy

"Ding dong!" I grab the candy box and go downstairs.
"Trick or treat!" A small little girl dressed up as a lady bug smiles. Grabbing the candy, I put my hand in the box and felt nothing but wrappers. All the candy was gone, someone had eaten it! Although I couldn't go and create an FBI investigation, the little girl was getting impatient.  Feeling bad I say,
" One second...I need another box." I sprint up the stairs to find any candy lying around. I couldn't find any candy... so I gave her a banana. The word got around that I gave a banana. Nobody came back.

"Pass me the tweezers," Doctor Kevin called, "There's no time."
"Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep" The monitor went blank.
"We've lost him doctor," a nurse sniffles. The doctors and nurses pack up their tools and wheeled the body out.
"Lola, get the wife and... you know." Dr. Kevin bowed his head. Lola, the nurse, went to break the tragic news.
"Ma'am, we tried to help but the spot just grew and grew, and we were unable to stop the spred."
"It can't be... my husband," She put her hand over her mouth, "The spot?"
"Yes, it was... the cancer."
